Six current portraits of God

Introduction

Naming

The word 'God' - within the current discussion - is merely a descriptive term for 'Supreme Being'. And, as such, it can be used to refer to the deity of any religion. It is no more specific than is the name 'Smith' in England, there being many Smiths living in the land.

The term 'God' is not a unique identifier pointing to a specific individual. Nevertheless, people can and do try to use it as a unique identifier in order to cause confusion which will override specific reference to the Most High God of Israel.

[Essay: The correct use of the term 'God' in shorthand notation.]

Islam, on the other hand, refer to their god as 'Allah', thereby distinguishing it from the 'God of Jacob'. However, the term Allah is - and can be shown to be - an alias for the lord Satan.

An even greater misrepresentation is perpetrated by the House of Desolation. Their God is the lord Satan, who they attempt to pass off as being the God of Jacob:

I know your afflictions and your poverty — yet you are rich! I know about the slander of those who say they are Jews and are not, but are a synagogue of Satan. (Revelation 2:9 NIV)

I will make those who are of the synagogue of Satan, who claim to be Jews though they are not, but are liars — I will make them come and fall down at your feet and acknowledge that I have loved you. (Revelation 3:9 NIV)
Thematic change

Moses realised the importance of identity! Tasked with freeing the Israelites from Pharaoh's grasp, he asks God for His name. The Israelites could not be fobbed off by saying that God had sent him! With all the false gods in circulation at that time, only the personal unique identifier of the God of Israel would suffice:

13 Moses said to God, “When I come to the Israelites and say to them, 'The God of your fathers has sent me to you,' and they ask me, 'What is His name?' what shall I say to them?"
14 And God said to Moses, “Ehyeh-Asher-Ehyeh.” He continued, “Thus shall you say to the Israelites, 'Ehyeh sent me to you.'" 15 And God said further to Moses, “Thus shall you speak to the Israelites: The LORD, the God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, has sent me to you:
This shall be My name forever,
This My appellation for all eternity. (Exodus 3:13-15 (Tanakh))

Portraits

The six current portraits of God:
  1. House of Desolation;
  2. New-covenant doctrine and church;
  3. Messianic Jews (the union of doctrines i. and ii.);
  4. The House of Esau;
  5. Islam; and
  6. The Messianically Amended Covenant.

What we have here is a series of portraits of God. But which are fakes? Do all six portraits refer to the same person, the Most High God of Israel? Or is that an illusion created by the slipshod brush strokes of those whose intention is to deceive? How many gods can be found in this list? And how can we tell them apart?

Misrepresentation

In His letter to the church in Smyrna, Jesus highlights the misrepresentation of those slandering Jesus and His followers:

[8] "And to the angel of the church in Smyrna write: These are the words of the first and the last, who was dead and came to life:
[9] "I know your affliction and your poverty, even though you are rich. I know the slander on the part of those who say that they are Jews and are not, but are a synagogue of Satan." (Revelation 2:8-9 NRSV)

In His letter to the church in Philadelphia, Jesus writes:

[9] I will make those of the synagogue of Satan who say that they are Jews and are not, but are lying - I will make them come and bow down before your feet, and they will learn that I have loved you. (Revelation 3:9 NRSV)

So, what is the identity of the god painted by each portrait?

[Essay: Why is identity so important in understanding the six portraits?]

God's Name

Entrapment

'God' is a term which is in general use in the world. The meaning, however, is that of 'supreme being'. Since the term 'God' is non-specific, it lends itself to deceit and entrapment. The enemies of the Most High will use the term to muddy the waters and to direct attention away from the actual identity of the Most High - because the use of a personal identifier points to an actual living person! The lord Satan doesn't want his own identity to be revealed; much better to keep things vague and to use 'God' or 'Allah' as aliases.

But such usage indicates a lack of personal knowledge of this 'supreme being'. One might say that 'God' is used as a concept, rather than as a real person with whom one has a face-to-face relationship.

'God', used in this conceptual way, becomes a remote being who stands aloof and far away from those He created. Whereas the Most High says:

23 Am I only a God near at hand
— says the LORD —
And not a God far away?
24 If a man enters a hiding place,
Do I not see him?
— says the LORD.
For I fill both heaven and earth
— declares the LORD.
25 I have heard what the prophets say, who prophesy falsely in My name: “I had a dream, I had a dream.” 26 How long will there be in the minds of the prophets who prophesy falsehood — the prophets of their own deceitful minds — 27 the plan to make My people forget My name, by means of the dreams which they tell each other, just as their fathers forgot My name because of Baal? (Jeremiah 23:23-27 (Tanakh))

The Most High states that He is a God who is close at hand, and who sees what is going down; but that He is also a God who stands back, not to be aloof, but in order to ensure He has a general overview of what is taking place.

The Most High also mentions that the false prophets are seeking to make the Lord's people forget the name of the Most High and to turn their allegiance to their false gods (in this instance 'Baal'). Which is nothing less than entrapment.

[The term 'covenant' is misused in much the same way. The new-covenant church believe that when Paul or the unknown writer to the Hebrews mentions the covenant, they are referring to the Covenant as it had been understood by Moses. This is not the case (see Covenant Denigration), for Paul et al were trained in the covenant with Death, but tried to pass it off as the Mosaic Covenant - earlier, Jesus had this to say of their teachers:
“But do not think I will accuse you before the Father. Your accuser is Moses, on whom your hopes are set. [46] If you believed Moses, you would believe me, for he wrote about me. [47] But since you do not believe what he wrote, how are you going to believe what I say?” (John 5:45-47 NIV) ]

References to God

Part of the probem of determining 'what was said' or in determining the linguistic content of a speech act is the probem of determing to what, if anything, linguistic expressions refer.
Manicas and Kruger

In the modern world, one's name does not provide a unique identifier, since there are likely to be several duplicates. This is self-evident with regard to use of the identifier 'God', for there are many gods in the world! A unique identifier will almost certainly be formed by combining two or more attributes into a primary key. On a hospital ward, for example, 'name + DOB + address' may suffice.

The name 'God' - common or proper noun - is not a unique identifier: which makes it useful when seeking to deceive. Many refer to their false god as 'God'. 'God' is a 'generic' term, though it is often used as a unique identifier by those who would seek to deceive. Thus, the House of Islam seek to pass Allah off as 'God' - a replacement for the Most High God of Israel when, in fact, 'Allah' is the face and alias of the lord Satan.

[Essay: 'God' as a 'generic' term. Discuss the use of 'shorthand notation' within the Covenant.]

Thematic change

These things were understood by Moses, and so he questions the Lord as to His Name, a name which will uniquely identify Him. Moses knew that the Israelites wouldn't accept a generic name as a unique identifier:

This was important, because Moses talked with God face-to-face as friends:

[11] Thus the LORD used to speak to Moses face to face, as one speaks to a friend. Then he would return to the camp; but his young assistant, Joshua son of Nun, would not leave the tent. (Exodus 33:11 NRSV)

So, it was important to Moses that he direct the Israelites to the very same person!

There is, then, when referring to God the matter of His unique identity. Moses wants to know how to refer to God - not in an impersonal, conceptual sense - but in a very real and personal sense. Not a concept, but a real, living person whose identity cannot be confused with that of anyone else.

And so the Lord states His Name:

13 Moses said to God, “When I come to the Israelites and say to them, 'The God of your fathers has sent me to you,' and they ask me, 'What is His name?' what shall I say to them?"
14 And God said to Moses, “Ehyeh-Asher-Ehyeh”. He continued, “Thus shall you say to the Israelites, 'Ehyeh sent me to you'." 15 And God said further to Moses, “Thus shall you speak to the Israelites: The LORD, the God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, has sent me to you:
This shall be My name forever,
This My appellation for all eternity. (Exodus 3:13-15 (Tanakh))

And this will be His Name forever.

Such a long name! It is common practice to shorten a long name down into something more manageable, or even replace it with a nick-name. This is fine if and only if the context and the precise identity have been previously established.

Part 1

The House of Desolation

Passing Satan off as God.

Evidence

Comment

Jesus' statements concerning the portrait of the Father are both unequivocal and explicit.

The god of the House of Desolation is the lord Satan, whom they are trying to pass off as the Lord God Almighty.

The House of Desolation have exchanged their Covenant with God the Father for a covenant of Death with the lord Satan. Necessarily, therefore, the Lord God is released from all contractual obligations to the House of Desolation, leaving Him sidelined as He watches them follow the lord Satan down into Hell. The most that the Lord can do is to warn the House of Desolation that they are standing into danger ... and eventual Death.

[Note, too, that their synagogues have nothing to do with Judaism, for they are the synagogues of the lord Satan.]

The Covenant is a composite contract. Like any contract, it has to be entered into freely, without taint of coercion or duress. The Lord cannot therefore force acceptance of the Covenant on anyone.

Part 2

The new-covenant church

The Spirit is implicated in sin and error

Evidence

Paul

Paul, claiming the authority and guidance of the Spirit,

[3] For what the law was powerless to do because it was weakened by the flesh, God did by sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh to be a sin offering. And so he condemned sin in the flesh, [4] in order that the righteous requirement of the law might be fully met in us, who do not live according to the flesh but according to the Spirit. (Romans 8:3-4 NIV)

Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit. (Galatians 5:25 NIV)

states - explicitly - that the Covenant was lethal:

[6] He has made us competent as ministers of a new covenant---not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter [of the Law] kills, but the Spirit gives life.
[7] Now if the ministry that brought death, which was engraved in letters on stone... (2 Corinthians 3:6-7a NIV)

Unknown writer to the Hebrews

The unknown writer expands on Paul's doctrine of covenant lethality:

Part 4 - Esau

House of Esau

Esau and descendants

The narrative

Esau and Jacob were brothers born to Rebekah:

21 Isaac pleaded with the LORD on behalf of his wife, because she was barren; and the LORD responded to his plea, and his wife Rebekah conceived. 22 But the children struggled in her womb, and she said, “If so, why do I exist?" She went to inquire of the LORD, 23 and the LORD answered her,
“Two nations are in your womb,
Two separate peoples shall issue from your body;
One people shall be mightier than the other,
And the older shall serve the younger.”
24 When her time to give birth was at hand, there were twins in her womb. 25 The first one emerged red, like a hairy mantle all over; so they named him Esau. 26 Then his brother emerged, holding on to the heel of Esau; so they named him Jacob. Isaac was sixty years old when they were born. (Genesis 25:21-26 (Tanakh))

Jacob was accepted; Esau was rejected:

1 A pronouncement: The word of the LORD to Israel through Malachi.
2 I have shown you love, said the LORD. But you ask, “How have You shown us love?" After all — declares the LORD — Esau is Jacob's brother; yet I have accepted Jacob 3 and have rejected Esau. I have made his hills a desolation, his territory a home for beasts of the desert. 4 If Edom thinks, “Though crushed, we can build the ruins again," thus said the LORD of Hosts: They may build, but I will tear down. And so they shall be known as the region of wickedness, the people damned forever of the LORD. 5 Your eyes shall behold it, and you shall declare, “Great is the LORD beyond the borders of Israel!" (Malachi 1:1-5 (Tanakh))

Esau's outrage against Jacob:

1 The prophecy of Obadiah.
We have received tidings from the LORD,
And an envoy has been sent out among the nations:
“Up! Let us rise up against her for battle.”
Thus said my Lord GOD concerning Edom:
2 I will make you least among nations,
You shall be most despised.
3 Your arrogant heart has seduced you,
You who dwell in clefts of the rock,
In your lofty abode.
You think in your heart,
“Who can pull me down to earth?"
4 Should you nest as high as the eagle,
Should your eyrie be lodged among the stars,
Even from there I will pull you down
— declares the LORD.
5 If thieves were to come to you,
Marauders by night,
They would steal no more than they needed.
If vintagers came to you,
They would surely leave some gleanings.
How utterly you are destroyed!
6 How thoroughly rifled is Esau,
How ransacked his hoards!
7 All your allies turned you back
At the frontier;
Your own confederates
Have duped and overcome you;
[Those who ate] your bread
Have planted snares under you.
He is bereft of understanding.
8 In that day
— declares the LORD —
I will make the wise vanish from Edom,
Understanding from Esau's mount.
9 Your warriors shall lose heart, O Teman,
And not a man on Esau's mount
Shall survive the slaughter.
10 For the outrage to your brother Jacob,
Disgrace shall engulf you,
And you shall perish forever.
11 On that day when you stood aloof,
When aliens carried off his goods,
When foreigners entered his gates
And cast lots for Jerusalem,
You were as one of them.
12 How could you gaze with glee
On your brother that day,
On his day of calamity!
How could you gloat
Over the people of Judah
On that day of ruin!
How could you loudly jeer
On a day of anguish!
13 How could you enter the gate of My people
On its day of disaster,
Gaze in glee with the others
On its misfortune
On its day of disaster,
And lay hands on its wealth
On its day of disaster!
14 How could you stand at the passes
To cut down its fugitives!
How could you betray those who fled
On that day of anguish!
15 As you did, so shall it be done to you;
Your conduct shall be requited.
Yea, against all nations
The day of the LORD is at hand.
16 That same cup that you drank on My Holy Mount
Shall all nations drink evermore,
Drink till their speech grows thick,
And they become as though they had never been.
17 But on Zion's mount a remnant shall survive,
And it shall be holy.
The House of Jacob shall dispossess
Those who dispossessed them.
18 The House of Jacob shall be fire,
And the House of Joseph flame,
And the House of Esau shall be straw;
They shall burn it and devour it,
And no survivor shall be left of the House of Esau
— for the LORD has spoken.
19 Thus they shall possess the Negeb and Mount Esau as well, the Shephelah and Philistia. They shall possess the Ephraimite country and the district of Samaria, and Benjamin along with Gilead. 20 And that exiled force of Israelites [shall possess] what belongs to the Phoenicians as far as Zarephath, while the Jerusalemite exile community of Sepharad shall possess the towns of the Negeb. 21 For liberators shall march up on Mount Zion to wreak judgment on Mount Esau; and dominion shall be the LORD's. (Obadiah (Tanakh))

Part 5 - Islam

Background

The faith of Muslims is Islam. Islam is a monotheistic religion based on the teachings of the Quran, which Muslims believe is the word of God as revealed to the Prophet Muhammad. Central to Islam are the Five Pillars, which include:

1. Shahada (faith): The declaration of faith in the oneness of God (Allah) and the acceptance of Muhammad as his prophet.
2. Salah (prayer): Performing five daily prayers.
3. Zakat (charity): Giving to charity, typically 2.5% of one's savings annually, to help the poor.
4. Sawm (fasting): Fasting during the month of Ramadan from dawn until sunset.
5. Hajj (pilgrimage): Making a pilgrimage to Mecca at least once in a lifetime if one is physically and financially able.

These practices, along with belief in the Six Articles of Faith (belief in God, angels, divine books, prophets, the Day of Judgment, and divine decree), form the core of Muslim faith and practice.
(Attribution Grok-2 @xAI)

Islam's assertion regarding Jesus includes several key points:
- Jesus as a Prophet: Islam regards Jesus (known as 'Isa in Arabic) as one of the greatest prophets sent by God (Allah). He is respected and revered but not considered divine or the son of God.
- Virgin Birth: Islam acknowledges the virgin birth of Jesus to Mary (Maryam), who is highly venerated in Islam. The Quran confirms that Jesus was born without a father, through a miracle from God.
- Miracles: Jesus is attributed with performing miracles by God's permission, such as healing the sick, raising the dead, and creating birds from clay.
- Not Crucified: One of the distinct assertions in Islam is that Jesus was not crucified or killed on the cross. The Quran states in Surah An-Nisa (4:157-158) that it was made to appear so to the disbelievers, but God raised him to Himself. Muslims believe Jesus was taken up to heaven alive and will return before the Day of Judgment.
- Messiah: Jesus is called the Messiah (Al-Masih) in the Quran, but this term does not carry the same theological weight as in Christianity. In Islam, "Messiah" signifies his anointed status as a messenger of God.
- Second Coming: Muslims believe in the second coming of Jesus, where he will return to earth to defeat the Antichrist (Dajjal), establish justice, and live a righteous life for a time before passing away.
- Scripture: Jesus is considered to have been given the Gospel (Injil) by God, which Muslims believe to be an original scripture that was later corrupted or altered, differing from the New Testament in Christianity.

These beliefs highlight Islam's view of Jesus as an integral part of its prophetic tradition, emphasizing his role in God's plan but distinct from Christian theology regarding his divinity, crucifixion, and resurrection.

Arab Religions

The predominant religion among Arabs is Islam, with approximately 93% of Arabs being Muslim. This includes both Sunni and Shia sects, with Sunni Islam being the majority. However, Arab identity is not solely defined by religion; it encompasses a shared culture, language, and history.

Historically, before the rise of Islam, Arabs practiced a variety of religions including polytheistic Semitic religions, Judaism, and Christianity. Some Arab tribes adopted Judaism or Christianity, and there were also individuals known as the hanifs who practiced a form of monotheism.

Today, there are still significant minorities of Arab Christians, as well as smaller groups of Druze and Bahá'ís. The religious landscape in Arab countries varies, with countries like Saudi Arabia having a near-homogeneous Muslim population due to its strict adherence to Islamic law, while other countries like Lebanon have more religious diversity with substantial Christian populations.[](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arabs)[](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arabs)

Islam

Islamist Descent

Contemporary Comment:

The question of whether Islamists are descended from Esau involves a nuanced exploration of biblical genealogy, historical interpretation, and religious tradition. Here's a comprehensive look based on various sources:

Biblical Genealogy and Interpretation:
- In the Bible, Esau is the elder twin brother of Jacob, who is later renamed Israel. Esau is traditionally associated with the Edomites, not directly with the Arabs or Ishmaelites, who are considered descendants of Ishmael, another son of Abraham.
- Some interpretations, particularly within certain Christian and Jewish theological circles, attempt to link the descendants of Esau (Edom) with various groups or nations, including some Arab populations. However, this linkage is not universally accepted and is often debated.

Historical and Religious Context:
- Islam as a religion emerged in the 7th century, long after the biblical times of Esau and Jacob. Muslims trace their spiritual lineage to Abraham through Ishmael, not Esau. The Quran and Islamic tradition emphasize Ishmael's role in establishing the Kaaba in Mecca, thereby establishing a spiritual and historical link to Abraham.
- The term "Islamist" refers to someone who advocates for political Islam or the application of Islamic principles in politics, which does not inherently connect to any specific ethnic or genealogical lineage but rather to a political ideology within Islam.

Modern Interpretations and Claims:
- There are discussions and theories, particularly in some religious or political narratives, suggesting connections between modern groups and biblical figures like Esau. For instance, some have speculated that certain conflicts in the Middle East might be seen through the lens of the Jacob and Esau narrative. However, these are often speculative and not grounded in historical or genetic evidence.
- Some sources, particularly from a non-Muslim perspective, might interpret or claim that certain attributes of Esau (like being a man of the field or his conflict with Jacob) symbolically or prophetically relate to groups advocating for Islamic governance or militancy. However, this is more of a theological or allegorical interpretation rather than a genealogical fact.

In conclusion, while there is a rich tapestry of biblical narrative and interpretation involving Esau, the direct descent of modern Islamists from Esau lacks historical, genetic, or widely accepted religious substantiation. Islamists, as political or ideological adherents, are not necessarily linked by lineage to Esau but rather through their adherence to Islamic political thought. The connection, if made, would be more symbolic, theological, or allegorical rather than factual or genealogical. (Attribution Grok-2 @xAI)

Muhammad

Born c. 570, Muhammad was the founder of Islam and the proclaimer of the Qur'an.

Islam has no basis in truth, for it was born of Muhammad's imagination. His god, their god, is the lord Satan. whom they attempt to portray as Allah, over and above the Hebrew God.

Islam traces its roots back to Ishmael (see Ishmael) and are therefore 'brothers' with the Israelites. Islamist treatment of Israel and the Jews is well documented and understood in the media, and needs neither repetition nor embelishment here. However, because of their relationship to the Jews, and because of their outrages against Israel and the Jews, the House of Islam is subject to the Esau Precedent. Consequently, they are all under sentence of Death.

Islam's evil

Islam proudly traces its roots back to Ishmael, a person rejected by God:

20 As for Ishmael, I have heeded you. I hereby bless him. I will make him fertile and exceedingly numerous. He shall be the father of twelve chieftains, and I will make of him a great nation. 21 But My covenant I will maintain with Isaac, whom Sarah shall bear to you at this season next year. (Genesis 17:20-21 (Tanakh))

Ishmael is excluded from the Covenant and its inherited line of descent. So, having built their house on the sand of error, this then becomes the first injection of error into Islamic 'doctrine'. From which evil will continue to grow exponentially.

One need look no further than to current affairs to see that Islam's outrages against Israel go far beyond those listed in the Obadiah5C prophecy against the House of Esau! Not only are the Islamists cheering on the nations to hamstring and destroy Israel, but they are now leading the charge. Note that those who remain silent cannot claim innocence, for their very silence makes them complicit.

[ As I write this (12-Jan-2025), the various British Muslim communities have done nothing to stamp out the Muslim rape-gangs and to bring them to justice; and they have done nothing to protect the children. Their silence - and that of the international Muslim community - does make the whole house of Islam complicit in these abominations.]

Islam's current evil has its origins in history. Although borders and names may have changed over the years, the hearts of the people have remained as evil as ever.

Israel is surrounded on every side by those of the House of Islam. Notwithstanding Israel's wrongdoings and extremists, they would be happy to live alongside the House of Islam in peace. Not so with the House of Islam, who seek only the extermination of the Jews, and the opportunity for a land-grab: such is their hatred, and their evil.

Surrounded on all sides by its enemies, fighting in their own strength, depending on the US rather than the Lord God Almighty, Israel faces a bleak future.

Islamist Survival

There is no question but that the Lord will deal with the House of Islam in the most brutal fashion. Those who use jihad (mass noun) as a uniting force, or those who declare jihad (count noun) against Israel, will be Blacklisted. Included, too, will be those who bankroll and support them.

Some within the House of Islam, those whose hands and clothes are not steeped in rivers of blood, may yet find a path to forgiveness. The opportunity will open with the rebuilding of David's Fallen Tent. The path they must follow, in order to survive, will be genuine allegiance to the Messianically Amended Covenant together with the Covenant Model. The path won't be easy! And there will be fierce opposition from those of the House of Islam who have been Blacklisted.

Scripture offers words of encouragement and success. For we are assured that not only individuals but towns and countries will attach themselves to Zion:

In that day, the Egyptians shall be like women, trembling and terrified because the LORD of Hosts will raise His hand against them. 17 And the land of Judah shall also be the dread of the Egyptians; they shall quake whenever anybody mentions it to them, because of what the LORD of Hosts is planning against them. 18 In that day, there shall be several towns in the land of Egypt speaking the language of Canaan and swearing loyalty to the LORD of Hosts; one shall be called Town of Heres.
19 In that day, there shall be an altar to the LORD inside the land of Egypt and a pillar to the LORD at its border. 20 They shall serve as a symbol and reminder of the LORD of Hosts in the land of Egypt, so that when the Egyptians cry out to the LORD against oppressors, He will send them a savior and champion to deliver them. 21 For the LORD will make Himself known to the Egyptians, and the Egyptians shall acknowledge the LORD in that day, and they shall serve Him with sacrifice and oblation and shall make vows to the LORD and fulfill them. 22 The LORD will first afflict and then heal the Egyptians; when they turn back to the LORD, He will respond to their entreaties and heal them.
23 In that day, there shall be a highway from Egypt to Assyria. The Assyrians shall join with the Egyptians and Egyptians with the Assyrians, and then the Egyptians together with the Assyrians shall serve the LORD.
24 In that day, Israel shall be a third partner with Egypt and Assyria as a blessing on earth; 25 for the LORD of Hosts will bless them, saying, “Blessed be My people Egypt, My handiwork Assyria, and My very own Israel.” (Isaiah 19:16-25 (Tanakh))

Part 6 - Current Covenant

Messianically Amended Covenant

Comment

A few links to Israel and its history:

[Essay: Israel: state or kingdom?]

The Messianically Amended Covenant

This version of the Covenant, though not yet implemented, exists at the Spiritual Level, and is the foundation for the restoration of David's Fallen Tent.

Since this is a Messianic Amendment to the Covenant Contract as it was understood by Moses, it paints a true, contemporary picture of Father, Son, and Spirit. It is the narrow path to Life itself found only by a few. Obedience will lead to everlasting Life. And, en route, one will make the transition from academic knowledge of the Lord, to a personal face-to-face relationship with Him! It is the pearl for which a man gave all that he had in order to possess it.

The Lord's Victory

As things stand at present, Israel are under the cosh:

When faced with current Islamic fanaticism and Israel's adherence to its covenant with Death, God's victory seems like a pipe dream!

Yet, despite all appearances to the contrary, the Lord has promised:

"In that day I will restore David's fallen tent. I will repair its broken places, restore its ruins, and build it as it used to be, [12] so that they may possess the remnant of Edom and all the nations that bear my name," declares the Lord, who will do these things. (Amos 9:11-12 NIV84)

'In the last days', the Messianically Amended Covenant will support the Flock through a time of evil and distress such as has never been seen before (Matthew 24):

In the last days
the mountain of the LORD's temple will be established as the highest of the mountains; it will be exalted above the hills, and peoples will stream to it.
[2] Many nations will come and say, “Come, let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the temple of the God of Jacob. He will teach us his ways, so that we may walk in his paths.”
The law will go out from Zion, the word of the LORD from Jerusalem. (Micah 4:1-2 NIV)
